This document provides information on appealing a Notice of Proposal (NOP), Notice of Proposed Order (NOPO) or Order of Monetary Penalty (OMP) issued by the Registrar under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario Act, 2019 (the Registrar).
The Registrar regulates licensing issues for individuals or businesses who are applying for a licence, or are licensed, under the Liquor Licence and Control Act, 2019. The following decisions by the Registrar may be appealed to the Tribunal:
If you received an NOP or OMP and wish to request a hearing/appeal, you have fifteen (15) days from the date of receiving the NOP or OMP to submit a written request for a hearing/appeal to the Tribunal.
If the Appeal is filed after the 15 days, a Notice of Motion requesting an extension of time to file the appeal must be included.
You must complete and submit a Notice of Appeal form to the Tribunal. Appeals can be filed via e-mail to LATregistrar@ontario.ca, or via mail to: 15 Grosvenor Street, Ground Floor, Toronto, ON M7A 2G6. To ensure your appeal is complete, please ensure you have included the following documents:
